As much as I love taking snap shots with my iPhone with the Camera+ app, I just can't seem to get away from my dslr Nikon D5100 camera. With Instagram so handy on my iPhone, I wanted to share my photographs from my dslr, I had to load those photos onto my Photo Library and share them.
A few months ago, my rose garden in the front yard started to bloom. I love the pop of colour that comes in the spring. So with my Nikon, I went and took some pictures of the rose blooms, loaded them onto my phone and edited the photos with the ColorSplurge app.
It's January and for a winter day, the weather is uncannily warm. Normally, the temperatures during the winter months in Sacramento dip to the 30s. With the sun peeking out from the clouds and the temperature slightly warmer, a trip to the lake for a bit of photography is what this girl needed.
With my trusty Nikon D5100 in hand, a birthday gift I received last year for my trip to Yellowstone National Park, I headed off with the family to Folsom Lake to enjoy the breathtaking view.
I'm more of amateur photographer. I've still yet to figure out the kinks, F stops, exposures, etc. With the pictures I've taken, I'm perfectly pleased with the results.
